Just a couple of photos from a stroll beside a burn down the bottom end of town today at lunchtime – not great light, in fact it was beginning to rain. But if looking up doesn’t work, look down and take abstract photos of trees reflected in the burn instead…
In the evening of Feb 7 2015, I was driving back along the A90 from Dundee to Perth, right into this sunset. It lasted a while, so I pulled over beside the road in the Carse of Gowrie to shoot it, including a reflection in the car roof (as one does!). Stunning light.
It seems a while ago now, but last September I spent a weekend trundling around Argyll. The light on the Saturday morning was absolutely beautiful – so I spent a happy couple of hours standing on the shores of Loch Awe admiring the sunlight and mist on Ben Cruachan and Kilchurn Castle, as one does.
The reflections of Creag an Aonaich in Loch Awe on a calm day take some beating. Only question is: with or without the boat?
Peace and calm: looking along Loch Rannoch towards the setting sun and its reflection.
Shades of pastel colours
It was good to go away for the weekend, and it was good to get back home again too nice sunny views around Portpatrick harbour too.
