It’s not even New Year yet, and already that’s the leeks moved and replaced with the 20 new raspberry canes we got for Christmas…
We discovered a plum tree hiding at the back of the garden just in time to taste some of the fruit at optimal ripeness. And it tasted good.. better than anything in a supermarket, for sure.
More fruitfulness in the garden – for the first time, we have our own apples. And the first one tasted rather nice too!

One of the fun parts of taking over a garden is waiting to see what comes up – such as these rather pleasant-looking fruit However, something seems to be making a lunch out of my new red cabbages 🙁
Our efforts keeping the garden well watered in the summer heat seem to be paying off – one of the first strawberries in the sun.
