Just outside Burntisland on the Fife coast is Binnend, the remains of an abandoned village on The Binn.
On investigations there is a lot of information available through Burntisland heritage organizations concerning the use of the site as accommodation for workers at a shale extraction plant nearby, and latterly during the Second World War.
I was surprised at how small the site was, and found it so overgrown as to be virtually inaccessible by drone so settled for a couple of aerial views from a few feet up.
